Phoenix, AZ — The headliners of the McDowell Mountain Music Festival, along with plenty of guests and celebrities, will be playing a free concert at a local establishment in downtown Phoenix one day before the actual three-day event begins on March 27th. Playing at the free show will be Widespread Panic, Passion Pit, Thievery Corporation, Phantogram along with local bands, DJ’s, standup comedy and plenty of live art. Celebrity guests include Joe Rogan, Dennis McKenna and possibly Bill Murray, who attended last year’s event.

Hosting the free concert is Bud’s Glass Joint, located downtown in the Roosevelt Row neighborhood of Phoenix, Arizona.

Tom Downey, a spokesman for the band Widespread Panic, told Fox 10 he is excited about being a part of the free concert.

“We try to participate every year in as many free events as we can, and this is for such a good cause,” Downey said. “And with all the other headliners and celebrities like Joe Rogan, Dennis McKenna and Bill Murray, this is going to be such a fun time.”

Local Phoenix resident Paul Horner told Phoenix news station ABC15 he is excited about the free concert.

“A free concert one day before the actual event with all the headliners along with Joe Rogan and Bill Murray too; this is going to be so awesome!,” Horner said. “I’ve seen a show at Buds before and it’s a great venue, I can’t wait!”

Also making a rare appearance is none other than Fappy The Anti-Masturbation Dolphin from Stop Masturbation Now. The headliner for the free show and being flown in from the UK by Bud’s Glass Joint is famous DJ Starhacker to join in on the festivities.
