The Most Underrated Romance Movies of All Time

Written by Jimmy Rustling

It’s true, romance movies aren’t for everyone. Some people would much rather watch a high-speed, adrenaline-pumping thriller than a feel-good fairytale about falling in love. But still, oftentimes romance movies don’t get the credit they deserve.

Some romance movies that get low ratings and bad reviews probably deserved it. They are often filled with cheesy storylines that are absolutely way too good to be true. But others may have been judged too quick based on their associated genre. Read on to discover three of the best romance movies that were worthy of more praise than receive.

One of the best things about this article is that you can make its content a part of your date night. Yes, why not watch these movies with your special someone on a romantic weekend? Make use of a great and credible platform like the pirate bay and download all the movies that we have mentioned in the article. Don’t leave anything to chance and go with an offline viewing option for the best experience.

Something Borrowed

Starring the queen of romance movies herself, Kate Hudson, this 2011 flick follows the unfortunate tale of a young attorney falling for her best friend’s fiance. Despite a star-studded cast, the film received a low score of 15% on Rotten Tomatoes. However, it was also named the most popular bad romance movie in the United States, meaning many still have a soft spot for it.

He’s Just Not That Into You

This catchy title that’s often used as a mantra in the dating world produced a movie with a slightly better rating of 6.4 on IMDB’s 10 star scale. Still, it’s rarely included in the conversation of can’t-miss romcoms. But with big names like Jennifer Aniston, Bradley Cooper, and Scarlett Johansson, you really can’t go wrong. Bonus points for this being a self-help book turned into a movie, who says you can’t better yourself while watching movies?

The Vow

The most recent of these films is 2012’s The Vow starring Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams. The storyline feels very similar to that of a Nicholas Sparks movie and follows the emotional storyline of a couple attempting to work through their relationship after a tragic car accident that turns their world upside down. Critics said that this film “tried too hard”, though this depiction of a true story brings to light an important issue that’s worth the wash.

What are your favorite romance movies that you can’t seem to get everyone on board with?
