Games That Solve Our Boredom

Written by Darius Rubics

There are so many amazing games all over the world, and the gaming industry creates more and more fantastic games every day. Sometimes, we need more than twenty-four hours in a day to try everything we want and solve our private matters. So many streamers on Twitch would love to share their thoughts and opinions about new games. But before you proceed with Twitch you should check the twitch streamers bio to find what you love to watch and play. We will talk here about the latest news from the gaming world.

Stellaris

The Stellaris team is looking ahead to the future of the game. Game director Stephen Murray said the team is slowing down the pace of updates. It is done to reduce the frequency of changes and give the community a chance to provide feedback on key elements of the game. Murray asked players to share what they value most about Stellaris. It is needed to help shape the direction of the game going forward.

Stellaris is not only the most popular space-themed 4X strategy game on Steam. It’s also a successful departure for Paradox from classic strategy games. Stellaris should be a vast sandbox that can accommodate any story or sci-fi fantasy that players can imagine.

The core principles of the game include versatility, evolution, and surprise with each playthrough. But most importantly, Stellaris is “your game.” Murray also emphasized that the feedback from the Machine Age expansion has impacted the 2025 content plans and future updates.

One of the key issues players have raised is the pace of updates being too fast, with quarterly releases sometimes interfering with gameplay and modding. In response, Paradox plans to slow down and stabilize the game. Murray also said that the major update that would have been released in the spring will be replaced by an open beta in Q1 2025.

The Paradox team is also considering a larger release for the game’s anniversary in May 2025. It will allow the team to sort out technical issues and add polish and major features.

Millennia

The 4X strategy game Millennia is gearing up for a new phase. It is gradually gaining ground after a rocky launch. It might have the next DLC, Atomic Ambitions. Milennia will be released on November 12 and will add a nuclear theme, new eras, and gameplay mechanics to the game.

While nuclear energy and nuclear weapons are already present in the game, the DLC will expand the possibilities of working with the atom. The Atomic Age will be dedicated to the peaceful use of nuclear energy. In this alternative version of history, your civilizations will be able to use uranium for energy supply and growth. Although there is always a risk of technological disasters.

Problems are still inevitable. Your nuclear infrastructure will be subject to leaks. Also, other threats can turn huge areas of the map into radioactive zones. Even if you manage to pass the Atomic Age, problems associated with the accumulation of nuclear waste will remain on the horizon. The civilization will have to switch to other energy sources to avoid a post-apocalyptic future.

The alternative scenario begins in the Wasteland Age. If a nuclear war engulfs the planet, the world will become a radioactive wasteland. Instead of green forests and plains, you will see a devastated land. But there is a chance for salvation. You can start a new civilization that will be rebuilt from the remains of the old world. In this final era, victory will depend on whether you can collect enough resources and restore the population.

More details can be found in the official blog on the main website of the game.

Sniper Elite: Resistance

The Sniper Elite series is known for its protagonist Karl Fairbairn of the OSS. But Sniper Elite: Resistance puts a new character in the spotlight. That is Harry Hawker. Introduced in Sniper Elite 3 as Karl’s ally against the Afrika Korps, Hawker now heads to the south of France to stop the Nazis from developing their “Wunderwaffe”.

In a new video from Rebellion, Lead Designer Ben Fisher and Lead Artist Simon Able shared more details about Hawker and his personality. He is described as “low-key, focused, and determined” and will do anything to defeat the Nazis. When a plan fails, Hawker calmly seeks a new approach without panicking. Video can be found on YouTube, Steam, and the main website of the game.

The story of Sniper Elite: Resistance takes place in parallel to the events of Sniper Elite 5. It takes players to southern France during World War II. In addition to the well-known events associated with D-Day, players will face battles in the Alps, vineyards, chateaux, and other locations where they will have to destroy the Nazi plans.

Sniper Elite: Resistance is released on January 30, 2025, for PC and consoles. Owners of the Deluxe Edition will be able to start the game earlier.
