Hollywood, CA — Coming to FOX this summer is a show about two bumbling stoner robots named Blaze and Bud. The duo, who are always high, work at McDonald’s and get into the wildest of antics.
The star of the The Wonder Years and producer and director for It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Fred Savage, will be writing and producing the sitcom.
“My Two Robots is kind of a fish out of water comedy,” Savage told CNN. “It shows the lives of these crazy, lovable robots as they go about their day just trying to pay the rent, and getting really, really high.”
Though not everyone is excited as Savage about the upcoming show. Some critics are saying this is just a ploy to discourage Congress from moving forward with the proposed $15/hr minimum wage.
Paul Horner, a lobbyist in Washington who is for the minimum wage increase told reporters, “This show is obviously just another right-wing tactic to dull your mind and make you forget about what is really important, the American people. I can only hope people wake up and see things for what they really are.”
Savage gave reporters a taste of what is in store for the robotic duo.
“One episode involves Bud discharging his condenser’s moisture overflow into the Special Sauce and their whacky antics to fix their mistake. This show will tickle the funny bone in both robots and humans alike.”
My Two Robots premieres July 23rd on FOX.
