Unleash The Thrill: How Yamaha Dirt Bike Kits Elevate Your Game

Written by Jimmy Rustling

Many dirt bike riders refuse to own anything other than a Yamaha. They love the quality of these machines and the style. When they get on their bike, they love knowing the bike will catch the eye of others while offering the performance they desire. One way they can make this machine their own is to invest in dirt bike graphics.

When purchasing these graphics, riders must ensure they purchase Yamaha dirt bike kits. These kits are designed specifically for their respective machines and will fit the bike perfectly. Once they are installed, it will look as if the dirt bike came straight off the assembly line, with the graphics in place.

Understanding Graphics Kits

Graphics kits are kits designed to fit specific bike makes and models. When a person purchases a Honda kit for use on their Yamaha dirt bike, the decals often do not fit correctly, resulting in a visually unpleasant appearance. Owners must consider this when comparing kits to find one that they love, which will enhance the look of their bikes while providing an additional layer of protection.

People are often surprised to learn how easy it is to install dirt bike graphics at home. They don’t need to purchase special tools or take classes to complete this task. Most people already have the tools in their garage or basement, so they can get started immediately once the decals arrive.

The decals included in a kit vary depending on the owner’s choice of purchase. Complete kits include decals for the airbox, front and rear fenders, swingarm, radiator shrouds, and fork guard. These kits also include custom number plates. Some owners prefer not to have a complete kit. They have the option to purchase a kit that covers the airboxes and shrouds or individual decals. If they cannot find the desired decals in a partial kit, they have the option of purchasing a complete kit and installing only those they like.

Applying the Graphics

Applying the graphics is easier than many people imagine. Anyone who follows the steps exactly will see excellent results. Begin the process by removing all old graphics and remaining adhesive. Thoroughly clean the bike’s surface with soap and water. A clean surface is required before the application process begins.

Remove the graphics from the packages and lay them out on a flat surface. Place them against the bike individually to ensure a proper fit. Once it has been determined that the graphics fit the bike, apply them one at a time. Spray the bike’s surface with soapy water before applying each graphic.

Remove the backing and begin in the center. Work out to the edges or from top to bottom, removing air bubbles with a squeegee as you go. Complete each decal before proceeding to the next, and repeat this process for each graphic. After installing all graphics, heat treat them to ensure they are secure. Allow the graphics to cure for 24 hours before riding the bike.

Dirt bike owners should invest in high-quality graphics to enhance the bike’s visual appeal while providing an added layer of protection. High-quality decals will reduce the risk of scratches and dings, keeping the surface pristine and looking its best. These graphics will come with UV protection to reduce the risk of fading, as well. Owners who spend more on a high-quality graphics kit tend to see a higher return on investment. Keep this in mind when purchasing.
