“Breaking Bad” creator Vince Gilligan has confirmed that his anti-hero Walter White will make an appearance on the AMC show’s spinoff, “Better Call Saul.”
“It would be great to see Walter White on ‘Better Caul Saul,’” Gilligan told the Daily News.
“It would be a shame if the show had its run — hopefully a very long run — and he never appeared.”
Gilligan refused to say exactly when the iconic meth lord played by Bryan Cranston would return to television — but it won’t be during its second season.
“I have to be coy,” he said.
“All of the wonderful characters who may eventually appear on ‘Better Call Saul’ will appear when it is most organic and fitting to the storytelling of ‘Better Caul Saul’ and also when we can work out scheduling issues with actors,” he said. “I would love to see that personally.”

There have been reports that Cranston has already agreed to work on the show — behind the camera.
“We are greedy because we would love to see Bryan direct an episode aside from acting in it at some point,” Gilligan said.
That, too, will come down to a matter timing and scheduling, he said.
“Saul,” which stars Bob Odenkirk as conniving lawyer Saul Goodman, is set six years before he became White’s lawyer — so even though White died in the series finale, it wouldn’t be tough to bring him onto the show in a cameo.
Cranston is such a good actor, it would be easy to make him look younger, too, Gilligan said. “He just wills it and it happens.”
