These bridesmaid dress colors will be the trendsetters’ of 2025 weddings

Written by Jimmy Rustling

As the 2024 wedding season ends with documentary-style photography, private ceremonies, and Dutch-masters-inspired flowers, we’re getting ready for the upcoming wedding season. Personalized and immersive events will make the news headlines of celebrities’ ceremonies, while the dress code focuses solely on aesthetics and specific visions from the bride and the groom.

And since the wedding attire is the most important, we expect 2025 brides to approach corsets, Basque waists, and unique embellishments for their dresses, according to Vogue. But what about bridesmaids? Their role in the wedding is underrated since they have to keep an eye on the bride and ensure everyone is having fun at the same time. So, let’s explore what would be the best dress colors for them in 2025.

Olive green

Olive green is a wonderful color because it’s both refined and calm. It usually fits most skin colors. It’s also a pretty safe color to play with, and bridesmaids won’t have a difficult time choosing accessories and shoes. Most tones, from grey to navy blue to plum, look amazing with an olive-green dress, but pink, white, and beige can make the outfit more special.

Accenting olive green works best with gold or bronze accessories, and the shoes can be as basic and elegant as black. But since olive green might have different hues, there are endless combinations of accessories for the best bridesmaid dresses for 2025.

Satin black

If you’re one of the unconventional brides who love an all-black wedding or would like to stand out clearly in the photos from the bridesmaids, you could propose the classic satin black for your girlfriends. This is one of the most elegant options for women, as it provides an unmatched appearance that elevates every type of outfit.

Moreover, bridesmaids can style them in numerous ways to keep the looks immaculate. For example, slingback heels, knee-high boots, and even kitten mules are perfect for such a refined dress. Accessories can vary depending on the skin color or wedding theme.

Delicate lavender

Lavender is another underrated color for dresses, but designers approach a variety of shades other than basic purple. We’ve got languid lavender, Wisteria, or Amethyst to offer the bridesmaids more freedom in choosing their preferred color. Of course, a lighter shade of lavender is great for the summer, while the luxurious twilight lavender would make an excellent wedding photoshoot.

Accessories for lavender dresses are great in neutral colors such as cream or grey. Depending on the strength of the color, jewelry can be bolder or more delicate to accentuate or complement the dress. Lavender with metallics is one of the best color combinations.

Smooth rosewood

For a wedding approaching a more vintage look, bridesmaids dressed in soft rosewood will make a great impression. The tone can be a muted shade of pink with specific hints of brown, making it the perfect outfit for a fall wedding. It fits perfectly in a decorated venue with natural wood and greenery.

The sophisticated color is perfect for every type of accessory and shoe, so bridesmaids can focus on makeup and hairstyles that contribute to the elegant look. However, it also goes well with sage green, cream, and gold.

Light blue

You can never go wrong with light blue, especially if you’re looking for a calm wedding theme to counteract all the upcoming stress and emotions. Bridesmaids dressed in light blue can accessorize their outfits with coral, navy, and mint green, while jewelry should be delicate. The fresh and modern overall look for bridesmaids can give off the impression of reliability, serenity, and peacefulness.

Light blue dresses are best as day dresses with minimalistic accessories, but they can easily become evening dresses with silver or golden strappy sandals and statement earrings. Bold makeup, such as a smokey eye, can complete the overall look.

Golden marigold

This color is one of the easiest to integrate into your wedding theme and is also a great hue for the bridesmaids to feel luxurious during the wedding. Golden attire can look amazing for every skin color, and considering the massive impact of a gold dress, accessories should be kept to a minimum or as delicate as possible.

Bridesmaids can take their outfits to the next level by wearing a set of pearls that make them look more refined. However, mixed metals are also a convenient option, whether we talk about different pink hues of rose gold or silver jewelry.

Dark blue

Dark blue is the best option for those who don’t look for all-black attire but still want a darker shade for the bridesmaids’ dresses. It’s flawlessly elegant and can be paired with different accessories and shoes. Nude, silver, and black are timeless options, but metallic and bejeweled shoes will make the bridesmaids stand out more.

At the same time, dark blue dresses look amazing with colorful gemstones like coral and emerald that beautifully accentuate the blue tone. Hair jewels can also be incorporated for a bolder look, but makeup will surely make the difference with neutral eyeshadows.

Champagne beige

Finally, for those who don’t care about the bridesmaids wearing a color close to white, champagne beige is one of the most flattering summer colors for the bridesmaids’ dresses. The sophisticated color will beautifully blend in minimalist-looking weddings with ethereal designs, especially due to its versatility.

Everyone can wear champagne beige and look amazing in it, whether the dress has embellishments or not. Accessorizing such a dress can be done with pearls and crystals, but its simplicity allows the bridesmaid to play with textures and patterns.

What do you think about these dress colors for bridesmaids?

The 2025 wedding season has already started, with new design choices and themes to become the centerpiece of newlyweds’ wedding plans. But besides the dress and the groom’s suit, bridesmaids are considerably important, and the color of their dresses matters to embody the design and feel of the wedding. That’s why 2025 is the year of delicate lavender, golden marigold, and champagne beige.
